Marianne had her first experience with clay when she was 8 years old. From then on she
was hooked. She tried other more traditional ways of making a living but none
held her attention like clay. So, in 1996 she took the leap and quit her "real
job", moved to Kentucky to be closer to family, and started being a full
time potter.
She have never looked back. She and her husband built a studio
behind their home, then a kiln and also a forge (her husband is a knife
smith). Potting full time has allowed Marianne's creativity and imagination to take
off in new directions. Now, making a piece for you to pick up, use and
experience is her dream come true.
